Rochdale Skills Event 2013

The first Rochdale Skills event was held on the 13th March 2013 at Heywood Distribution Park featuring many local businesses and professionals in the public sector.

The event was aimed to provide all year 9 pupils with an opportunity to explore job and training options within th local area; at the same time attempting to raise aspirations and also gaining awareness of the specialist industries within the Rochdale Borough to show local students they do not need to go father afield to look for work.

The event was developed in conjunction with Rochdale Council and the Rochdale Pioneers Trust, and organised, supported and funded by members of the Rochdale Place Board including: Inspiredspaces Rochdale, Rochdale Development Agency and Commercial Contract Engineers Ltd.
